GUI to view an equirectangular image in 360 ° format with control trackbars for FOV and viewing angles

You can download any 360 |deg| video from youtube and view it using the GUI and enjoy the 360 |deg| viewing experience

This application is a small GUI that can be used to change the FOV and viewing angles to view any 360 ° video. NOTE: This is just a basic example and not a full-fledged software. It does not process any audio. The main objective of creating this GUI was to show different outputs one can generate from an equirectangular image based on various parameters.

Following methods of the library are used in this GUI:

  • eqruirect2persp()

  • fisheye2equirect()

  • equirect2cubemap()

  • cubemap2persp()

Usage

To run the gui use the following command:

python3 ViewerGUI.py <INPUT_FILE_PATH> <VIDEO_FLAG> <MODE_FLAG>
  • INPUT_FILE_PATH : Path for the input 360&ged; video or image.

  • VIDEO_FLAG : Set it = 1 if input file is a video else set it = 0

  • MODE_FLAG : set it = 0 if input is an equirectangular image, = 1 if it is a fisheye image with camera placed perpendicular to the ground, = 2 if it is a fisheye image with camera placed parallel to the ground.
